This is a real-time Solar System explorer. Itβs built to be fun to use and grounded in real orbital data β
but not perfectly to-scale (space is huge π
).
πΉ How to use it:
- Left-click a planet, moon, or the Explorer Station to select it.
- Right-drag to rotate/look around; Scroll to zoom.
- W / A / S / D to fly the camera freely.
- Focus to lock the camera onto the selected body.
- Scan a body to collect data and earn Exploration Points (EP).
- Use Time controls to jump forward/back and watch orbits move.

Whatβs accurate (the science bit):
- Planet paths are calculated using Kepler-style orbital elements.
- Moon orbits use real data from NASA/JPL Horizons (J2000 epoch), orbiting their parent planet.
- Rotation speeds follow the configured rotation hours (including retrograde spins).
π¨ Whatβs visual-only (by design):
- Planet sizes and moon distances are scaled for readability.
- Some moons may look βtoo closeβ because a true scale would make them tiny dots.
- Lighting, glow, and the starfield are stylised.
